A carefully decorated bowl that’s perfect for everything, not just fruit salad. This deal of the day is $49.99 (70% off the $168 retail price). Sale ends at midnight tonight (EST).

Today’s deal of the day is a set of six Botanic Garden Fruit Salad Bowls at a 70% discount. And while I’m happy with the discount, I’m a little offended at the term “Fruit Salad Bowl.” What, you think just because it has a flower and a few butterflies on it that it can’t do anything besides hold fruit salad? You don’t think it can’t hold a bowl of cereal or a serving of macaroni and cheese just as good as a manly bowl? Shame on you. This bowl can do anything it sets its rim to.

Sure, this bowl can hold fruit salad like a freakin’ champ, but it can also do anything other bowls can do. In fact, it can probably do MORE than the average bowl. Since it’s hand-painted glazed earthenware with bold mix and match designs of florals, butterflies, and green leaves, it could also sit on display in a curio cabinet if it wanted to (though in my opinion modeling is a bit overrated for dinnerware). It’s also ready for freezers, microwaves, and dishwashers. You can even put it in the oven up to 340 degrees fahrenheit. So buy today, and do what you will with it, but don’t limit it to fruit salad. Treat it right, and it could even be President some day (and it would probably do a much better job than the most recent ones).

SPECS:
Set of 6 individual fruit salad bowls, 5-1/2-inch diameter
Hand-painted glazed earthenware
Bold mix-and-match floral designs with butterfly motifs and distinctive green leaf border
Safe in freezer, microwave, and dishwasher; oven-safe to 340 degrees F
