Summer Vacation Series Part 4

Trip To Colonial Williamsburg

Okay, I guess that’s kind of impressive. Watching some guy in period clothing smelt a set of silver goblets for the actors playing George Washington and the guy I can only assume is playing Benjamin Franklin (or it could be just another fat, balding tourist with long, white side hair).

But I’ll tell you what is really impressive. This Denby 6-Piece Cup set I bought from the JomaDeals deal of the day. I mean, these things rule. This guy had to slave over these silver cups for 6 weeks next to the hottest furnace with the constant danger of third degree burns and possibly losing an eye, while I was able to get these modern, stylish cups in just a few days without breaking a sweat.

No thanks, I’ll pass on the silver cups today, my good sir, or whatever it is they used to say back then. I’m sure whatever it is they said back then, it probably sounded strange, since they seemed to use f’s in place of s’s all the time (excufe me, my good fir, have you read the lateft draft of the conftitution? Impreffive!).

I’m just glad I got the deal of the day when I did. I guess I’ll move on to the next humble shop. I hear there’s a maiden over there making George Washington’s wooden teeth. That should be good.

SPECS: Measures 4 1/2" tall with 3 3/4" diameter at the rim.

Denby Harlequin 6 Piece Red Ceramic Cup Set

Denby Harlequin 6 Piece Red Ceramic Cup Set

A beautiful set of cups to make you feel right at home. This deal of the day is $39.99 (81% off the $210 retail price). Sale ends at midnight tonight (EST).

I never had a tree house as a kid. I begged and begged my dad to make me one, but considering he was a Star Trek obsessed accountant who didn’t even own a screwdriver, I think the task was a little outside of his expertise. I begged my mom to try, but she said it was dangerous and sent me away with a Jello pudding pack (that usually worked, I was a chubby kid).

Now that I’m an adult, I still want one. I’ve got the plans all mapped out, written on the back of a few TPS reports I was supposed to be working on (yea, I don’t actually work during work). It’s going to have a rope ladder, a tire swing, tin-can telephones, a couple of windows with drapes for secret comic book club meetings, tons of food, and this six-piece set of Denby cups. Everything we need.

The cups are essential to making a beautiful home, whether it’s in a tree or not. They are stylish, quality crafted, and are different than the typical cup set you might find at your normal cookie-cutter retail store (I mean “cookie-cutter” as in a store where everything they sell is cheap and basically the same, not literally a store that sells cookie cutters. The former is lame, but the latter is pretty sweet).

Get them today at a 81% deal of the day discount. You won’t be sorry. Unlike my child-self who will forever long for his lost tree house, you don’t have to long for this opportunity. Just buy before midnight, or this deal gets destroyed by the first strong wind to blow through the trees in the neighborhood (should have used more nails).

PS- I think I deserve a bonus for using both homonyms latter and ladder correctly and in one listing. My freshman English class was not a waste after all.

SPECS: Measures 4 1/2" height and 3 3/4" diameter.

The JomaDeals “Ode to Mom” 20-ish Part Series

Part 18: Ode to the Mom who's going to end this vacation right now if you two don't stop horsing around back there

Let’s hear it for the Mom who's going to end this vacation right now if you two don't stop horsing around back there

Seriously, you two, cut it out.

We’ve only been on the road two hours, and you two are already driving me crazy. Here we are, trying to take a nice, family vacation together while your father has some time off from his stressful job, and you two won’t stop horsing around. You’re going to give the both of us a heart attack.

John, stop poking your sister. Jane, stop putting your leg over on your brother’s side. And both of you, stop repeating everything the other says in an attempt to get the other to crack.

Thank goodness I bought myself something nice before we left. That Mug set I bought from JomaDeals was lovely. It just makes me feel all peaceful and calm when I think about that 6-piece Denby set I have sitting at home, just waiting for me to drink coffee out of it. And the fact that I got it at a 76% discount is all the more wonderful.

Alright, that’s it! The next kid in the backseat to pick their nose and wipe it on the other one is going out the window! I mean it!
